Galled
|
Just a few hours ago, I received a call from my mom, who had her gallbladder removed this morning. Since then [and a whole lot, recently], I thought about all the wonderful ailments I get to look forward to as I grow old:
- I am the only one in my immediate family with a gallbladder.
- My grandfather had his first heart attack in his early 40s or late 30s.
- Mother and grandmother both have had knee replacements. My mom was probably one of the youngest in the entire facility when hers was done, just a few months ago.
- Grandmother has had a hip replacement.
- Aaaand a handful of ailments that I'd rather not go into detail on here.
Joyous.

| I feel your pain. Mom gave me awful veins that require about 3-5 stabs before they can find one. And she also gave me bad healing genes because I had massive amounts of scar tissue (inside) that they found on my last surgery. They said it looked like I'd had about 5 c-sections before. During Mom's gallbladder surgery yesterday, they told her that she had a lot too...so I guess I got it from her. Super joyous |

| And you and your sister are still hanging on to your tonsils. I'm well past the 43 yrs. old when Pop Pop has his first heart attack, so that is promising for you too. |
