March 2009 Athletic Review
137.54 miles run, which is my 2nd highest month of all-time. That’s with feeling crappy a few days in there. Not bad! 56.6 miles biked, which is my 3rd highest month of all-time. Not sure how this happened, but I won’t complain. I think it might be that I actually cross-trained on days I had

Race: Burke Lake 12k

Race: Capital Hospice 12k
Another race in the ’08-’09 Snowball Series. 12k comes out to roughly 7.5 miles. I went in with a goal of sub-52 (6:58 pace) and ended up with a 51:43 (6:56 pace). Nothing much to note. I didn’t taper for it except for running a few less miles the day before, and I was quite

Race: Tidal Basin 3K #420
Last year I ran in two of these 1.875 mile races at noon on a workday. I planned on doing more, but it just didn’t fit the schedule. Fast forward to this training season and I have track workouts scheduled for Wednesdays! Why not run a race instead? So the day after the inauguration, I
