So the Cicadas are here. For those of you not in the know, you should be banished from life. I mean seriously, everyone knows what Cicadas are, even if you don’t live in an area affected by them. So the little suckers are back out again. Last time they were here, 17 years ago, I was in preschool and damn were they fun to mess with. Nowadays they just annoy me a little. They’re loud, they get guts all over your car, and they are really freaking dumb; I don’t like dumb things.

Even dumber than the Cicadas though, are the people that pronounce their names incorrectly. I’ve heard “Shicada”, “Kickada”, and several other butcherings. It’s not a language barrier either, these people are white American-bred folk. Come on now… It’s “Sicada!!!”
