Was mildly interested in this when I first saw previews years ago. Chris and I caught a few minutes of the middle of it, loved it, decided to watch the whole thing, recorded the next showing, and watched it… Great story, eh?

Anyway, it turned out to be one of Adam Sandler’s best works in a long time. Combine him with Beckinsale playing an oh-so-money wife, Walken playing the usual creepy role, and Hasselhoff being his usual dumb self, and you’ve got a great cast for comedy and somewhat dark drama. Yes, drama. The story had far more depth than anything you would expect… and it was very well-done. You expect one type of movie, but you get something entirely different. Normally not a good thing, but not in this case.

Grade: B+
Quick Blurb: An unexpectedly good film.
