<font style=”font-family: verdana,georgia,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;”>I don’t care to get in to whether she has four or five children or whether she is prepared to be Vice President at all; quite frankly, I don’t believe running our nation is a job that anyone can be prepared for given infinite time in other offices.

What gets me most is the fact that she does have at least four children. The following quote sums it up pretty well:

”<span style=”font-style: italic;”>The possibility of our vice president being a mother of five is ridiculous [“Gov. Mom; The Land of the Midnight Sun’s New Claim to Fame: Being Led by a 24-Hour Mother,” news story, Sept. 2]. Motherhood is the most important role a woman can fill. If a woman doesn’t believe so, she should not have five children and then let someone else raise them. Is motherhood not rewarding enough for Sarah Palin? <p style=”font-style: italic;”><font style=”font-family: verdana,georgia,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;”>In a world that is finally embracing women in the workforce and politics, she is an embarrassment to women who decided to stay home with their children. I don’t care if she has enough money to hire all the child-care specialists in the world; these are her children, and she needs to be there for them. Not enough children in this country get the love and attention they need from their parents to develop into decent parents themselves. Family first, right?

<span style=”font-style: italic;”><font style=”font-family: verdana,georgia,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;”>This is a woman who is showing an unrealistic, competitive nature; most likely it is a replay of her beauty pageant days. I was a working mother of two. I took the first one to work with me every day until she was 6 months old. The responsibility was huge. I am not against working moms, but Ms. Palin has too many children to leave behind.<font style=”font-family: verdana,georgia,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;”>”
<p style=”text-align: right;”><font style=”font-family: verdana,georgia,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;”> DEIDRE CARREL (copied from Washington Post)

<p style=”text-align: left;”><font style=”font-family: verdana,georgia,arial,sans-serif; font-size: 9pt;”>And that doesn’t even mention that one of her children has special needs. Even if her husband doesn’t work, she still doesn’t have time to hold such an office AND raise her children properly. I don’t care about any of the other rumors or facts; the above is enough to break her in my opinion.
