Having put off viewing this movie for long enough, Jessica finally gave in to my demands that we just get it over with. Her excuse the whole time had been ‘I’m not in the mood for a sad movie.’ The solution? Make her only other options be a few 3-hour movies or equally sad flicks. I won. Anyway, I had great expectations of this movie and it only somewhat delivered. Sad? Yes. Gruesome? Check. Accurate? Beats me. Basically, it was a good film that didn’t really seem to tell a complete story. I mean, it did, but I was expecting something spanning more than just a few days. I really don’t know, it was a good movie and all, but when it ended I was left with a feeling of wanting more. Maybe that is the sign of a really good movie? I don’t know, but it certainly was a quality flick, worth a rental, not sure if I’d go out and purchase it (unless it was on some uber sale or used).
