Here it is! The anticipated review! Ok, so this is a remake of a Jap horror flick, usually doesn’t go too well. As expected, nopers. The movie manages to keep you tense throughout, but the story is just plain suck. Perhaps Japanese stories are told in a fashion like this (leaving you wondering what the hell happened to the guy in the first scene of the movie until the end) and that’s why this film was so great over there, but something was definitely lost on this movie’s travel around the world. Any dummy with a camera, a few dark rooms, and a middle school writing ability could have made a movie on par with this. Tense? Yes. Entertaining? Meh. Wait for it to hit HBO.
