Surely you’ve heard of this in the news. Kids play this “game” where they basically suffocate themselves for a high, and a very few end up dying. Well, spurred on by the morning news, which had contained a segment on this, I commented to my Mom about how stupid these kids were. Having been a youth not too long ago, I could relate to their boredom, but I had never heard of “The Choking Game” until recently. Her reponse? “Oh, we used to play that. When I saw it on the news I said to myself ‘Crap, it’s back.’ It seems it cycles in to popularity every 15 years or so.” So my Mom was one of these dummies… I suppose that explains a few things 😉

I firmly believe we ought to lower the drinking age so kids do not have to resort to “The Choking Game” for their highs. Instead they’ll be able to walk in to 7-11, grab a forty, and kill a few brain cells in a bit less risky way.
