Sooo today was my one week anniversary at the new job so I figured I’d give a quick synopsis of how it has gone.<br/><br/>After filling out all the silly paperwork I was sat down in the lab; my lab. I share it with one other person, and it’s the size of maybe 1.5 offices so I have some decent space, but most of that space is covered in machines. My first few days I spent cleaning up in my spare time. I’m a clean freak like that, and it doesn’t seem that anyone had cleaned the lab in years :smiley:<br/><br/>The technology is pretty easy compared to what I dealt with at my old job, but there is a ton more work to be done so I’m maintaining busy while not taxing my brain too hard. We’re currently crunching to release a new version of our software by the 15th so I actually had to work today, but we’ll supposedly get the day off sometime after release.<br/><br/>Once the release is done I’ll hopefully be doing some support work, attending some tradeshows (we go to Amsterdam and Vegas every year), and maybe even look in to some developing. Immediately following the release I’ll be heading to our Boston office to meet the folks up there (a while back we bought a small media company and still retain five of their employees)… They are full of knowledge so my boss wants me to go leech off of their brains :tongue:<br/><br/>Sooo ummmm… I’m enjoying the new job a lot more than my previous one and that is all I’ve got.
