I finally got to try some! I have no idea why it is illegal aside from the fact it is 144 proof, but Bacardi 151 is legal and way nastier than this stuff. It was brought back by a friend who was in Europe so it was the real stuff with Wormwood. I took three shots of the stuff and aside from the drunkeness had no ill effects. Some friends had reported vomiting the moment it touched their mouths. Odd, they must have disliked black licorice.<br/><br/>[b]Friday[/b]<br/>Dead from work and planning to work the next day, I wasn’t sure I’d be going out, but I thought to myself “You only live once” and it was on. Night began with dinner at Rio Grande with an old friend from high school. It was weird, we hadn’t really hung out much in five years, but we caught up like it hadn’t been more than a week. Good stuff… We then spent the night at McFaddens where it was like an orgy; people were making out everywhere! Fearful of disease, I kept my distance :tongue: I saw a bunch of friends from high school, which was pretty cool. Everyone seems to look the same! As the night came to a close of course there was a fight. A hippie/peaceful/whatever friend of mine was phantom punched by some dude in the face and the guy ran. Friends nose bled everywhere and the cops showed up and… geez… DRAMA! Get back to my friends place and I had been planning on sleeping in Dnorm’s (friend/coworker) since he is at a trade show in Amsterdam, but it is already taken! Gahhh! I sit around and watch TV for a few hours, drive home, and get some good sleep.<br/><br/>[b]Saturday[/b]<br/>This was absinthe night! I played a ton of <a href=”http://www.wonderfullywacky.com/lightning-game.htm” target=”_blank”>The Lightning Game</a> and was shocked so many times I was freaking immune to it! Greg and I opted to forego a night at Sake (trendy crappy bar) and hit McFadden’s where we were meeting a friend of mine. Another odd night because some girl from high school was having her birthday party there so I knew like EVERYONE! Nuts. I even ran in to one of my best friends from high school… Freaking crazy! The palce was packed and quite frankly I’m growing tired of it, but it’s so awesome running in to people there.<br/><br/>Good weekend even though it was only 1 day long. Funny how last week was supposed to be a 4-day work week, but I worked 6 days for a total of close to 60 hours 😛 Oh well, it is still better than AOL.<br/><br/>Hail to the Redskins!
