I almost feel bad about posting this, but I think it’s public info so what the hey. Teachers deserve to make more, bottom line. Granted they work the base hours of a college student, but then factor in their preparation time, time spent grading papers, and what they do for the world? They ought to be the highest paid of anyone.<br/><br/>Oh well, backwards we are! Interesting to see I make more than some of my professors after only a year of work :tongue:

Cost of living is dirt cheap in Harrisonburg, and they only have to work 9 months during the year. They get paid extra if they elect to teach in the summer.

Highest paid people? Hmm. If they were that good at what they’re teaching they’d be getting paid a lot of money to do for a company.

Some people give up higher paying jobs to teach because they enjoy it.
