After maybe 5 years with the same monitor I finally decided to pull the trigger and get a new one. My old monitor still worked great, but LCD technology has finally advanced far enough that response times (and subsequent “ghosting”) are not an issue with games. I had been eyeing this sucker up for probably a year now, realized I hadn’t made any large purchases this week, saw a good deal at CompUSA, and was going to be over by the store already. Sum all those up and you’ve got yourself a no-brainer.<br/><br/>If you’re thinking of going LCD I suggest you do so ASAP. I don’t know why I waited so long. I actually have desk space now, it produces far less heat, and is better for my eyes. Technical specs: 700:1 contrast ratio, 8ms response time 300cd/m^2 brightness, 19″, and both analog and dvi input. If you know what all those mean you know this is a pretty beast LCD for the price.
