This entire movie felt as if it were forced. Quentin came up with an ending and then forced a story to fit it. I’m not quite sure what the motivation was for this story, but it is so similar to Pulp Fiction it wasn’t even worth putting in to film; it didn’t work nearly as well. Certainly not a bad movie, but compared to the stuff I’ve been watching recently (really good films), this just didn’t do it for me.<br/><br/>It also struck me as odd that this was written by Quentin Tarantino, but I didn’t see his name in the opening credits. I dunno, maybe I just missed it.<br/><br/>[b]6.0/10[/b] – Pulp Fiction with different characters and half the quality

Considering this movie came out before Pulp Fiction, I doubt they considered it before making this one. Bard Pitt is great in this flick.
You know your tastes are effed when you rate Sahara, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory and National Treasure above True Romance.

Yes, it came out before, but if you have watched any bios of Quentin you\’d know that he had most of his stories written well before they ever made it to film. I think he worked in a video store or something and was always writing. It wasn\’t until someone saw his shtuff that it began making it to film. So… I\’m guessing Pulp Fiction was written before True Romance ever made it to film.
Regardless, Brad Pitt was great. I never would have guessed he could play a stoner, but sure enough, he was excellent.
