Boxing flick about a man’s rise from the bottom during the Great Depression to great things. I love me some true stories where the underdog comes out on top… Good stuff.<br/><br/>I do have to question the depiction of of Max Baer, though. There is no way he could be as popular as he was given the attitude they showed in this movie. Heck, I’ve even read places that he was seriously traumatized when he killed his first man in the ring, he didn’t take pride in it at all.<br/><br/>Anyway, pretty good movie. Has 0 replayability so rent this sucker.<br/><br/>[b]8.5/10[/b] – I used to hate Renee Zellweger, but she is growing on me.
