One of the best films you’ll ever see? I don’t know Mr. Ebert. While it was good, it wasn’t one of the best films I’ve ever seen.

This is the story of a young boy growing up in the slums of Rio de Janeiro. Eye opening, but nothing extraordinary about it. Sure there was tons of corruption, drugs, and shooting, but doesn’t that happen all over the world? Don’t waste your time trying to find anything out about the boy/man who is telling the story, there is nothing regarding him anywhere.

Was a great movie to watch while the parents were asleep. Since it was subtitled I was able to nearly turn the sound off altogether. Luckily, I shouldn’t have to deal with that come this weekend

8.0/10 – Ebert must have been in a good mood
