Well, I finally bit the bullet. Picked up my 1997 Honda VFR750F “Interceptor” last night from an older asian guy in Chantilly. 7k miles, and nearly $1000 below blue book value; I can’t complain. Well, I suppose I can since it weighs 460lbs, which is quite heavy for a bike, but then I listen to the exhaust note and I forgive it for being such a pig. Assuming I can ride her right, she’s capable of mid 11 second 1/4 mile times, which is just a bit faster than a Ferrari F40.

The Bike

Today I’ll be picking up a new battery for it, and safety gear (helmet, jacket, gloves, boots). Tomorrow I’ll be adding it to my insurance, and getting my permit at the DMV. Later this month I’ll be going for my license test, and six months down the road I hope to be ready to give rides :thumbup:
