As you may remember, almost a month ago <a href=”http://iammike.org/index.php?subaction=showfull&amp;id=1147715424&amp;archive=&amp;start_from=&amp;ucat=2&amp;”>I decided to get in shape</a>. After a few days I had been a bit disheartened because I wasn’t losing any weight, but that is over with now. As of this morning, I had dropped 7lbs since I began all of this. I am now doing 15 more pushups than I could do a month ago (TWICE A DAY), and my situp count has increased dramatically as well. My running hasn’t gotten all that much better, but has certainly shown some improvement, which I blame on my throat being jacked for just about half the time I’ve been doing this. What has really been the trick? Portion control. Buffets have been limited, lunches have been small, grits or yogurt before work to get the metabolism rolling, and a piece of jerky before bed just to keep it going through the night.<br/><br/>Obviously this 10lb thing is going to be cake, although I’m a bit worried I’m getting too skinny. You can actually see my ribs again! Ack! After I hit the 10 mark I may add a healthy 5 back on with a high protein diet and some serious lifting.
