Put simply, this movie was not as good as I expected. The special effect were awesome, and Davy Jones was a really cool dude, but I had two major problems:

1) If you had not seen the first, you would have been really lost. They had 0 background information on the characters. A “fresh” viewer would have been left wondering what the hell was happening.

2) There was no real closure. They left it too open for a sequel, which there will most definitely be. However, I like to be left wondering. If you have more to tell, make the movie longer, but at 2.5 hours this was already pushing it.

As always, Johnny Depp did very well, and Keira Knightley was super-money-bags.
