Every day I travel 7W to work and 7E on my way home. Over the past six months, I have seen maybe 10 accidents that involved shutting down a lane. The thing I noticed? They’re always going the opposite direction as me. Yes, the count is approximately 10-0; I have never been stuck in traffic due to an accident going my direction.

What does this tell me? The collective of people that live out in Western NoVA are bad at driving. I’d guess a majority are soccer Moms, whereas the majority of people heading my direction are professionals (many single) living in the city.

I don’t know what to make of this other than the fact I’m glad I don’t have to head the other direction… Just an observation I suppose…
