Three months ago I made a goal of losing 10lbs. Welp, I’m a little overdue, but it looks like it’s time to analyze it all. I started out at 185 according to my log (this was a little fib, I was a bit higher, but didn’t want to admit it to the world). Last night? I was 176. That is 9 official pounds, but in reality about 10 to 14 depending on the day back then. I’d say that is a success.
As far as my running goes, I can now pretty effortlessly pound out 5 miles and am currently in week 3 of a 12-week half marathon training program. I haven’t run my baseline 2 laps in the park (1.8 miles) in a while, but I’m certain I’ve cut off 2:30-3:00 on that. I’d like to fit a rested baseline in, but the schedule simply doesn’t call for it.
All in all, I’d say I did it. I set a goal and met it so now we’re moving on to a bigger one (a 13.1 mile race), but I still have yet to find one that I’d like to do around that time frame. Next year? Full marathon and then depending on how well I like that kind of mileage I’ll stick to them or drop back down to 5k-10k racing.
Side note, I picked up some free weights yesterday, I’m looking sickeningly skinny even though my Mom said last night that my face looked fatter than it did… Smoke weed much? And that is all I have…
