I didn’t really spend too much time with these, but from what I was able to gather, they were simply amazing. I listened to them head-to-head against the QC 2 and they were far superior. For regular airplane travel you really can’t do any better than this, it’ll cancel out EVERYTHING. One problem I found was that you can’t hear yourself talking so you tend to shout when you’re wearing them. Not a big deal because you won’t be able to hear anyone talking to you either so you can’t be in a conversation while wearing them. I’d like to sit down with them to give a real acoustic review, but this was all done in passing at an outlet store. Needless to say, I want a pair if I ever start traveling regularly.

With all that good stuff in mind, they do cost $350. While they are great, and I wouldn’t mind a pair, you can get some pretty amazing headphones for $350 (Grado 325i, Sennheiser HD600, Shure E5C). that I’m fairly sure have better sound quality.
