Commute was hellacious today, and twice I had cars make right turns in front of me (they were turning on to my road) forcing me to use some heavy braking. Both of them turned out to be high school girls with packed vehicles. The motorcycle will be sold promptly upon being repaired and I will not be looking back. People suck at driving… Thanks idiots!

I second that comment…people suck. I sat in traffic on the way to work and was more or less parked on the Toll Road for about 45 minutes coming home. Then we went to dinner and it took almost 30 minutes to go from my house to Westfields (about 4-5 miles)

Ok so I really don\’t get it. A light that I learned to avoid last year during school backs up maybe 5x longer now than it did a week ago. Does that mean 5x more people are on the roads? Doubtful, but my rough estimate puts it at around double. Where do all the people come from? My only guess is less people are on vacation when school is in session, and there are teachers, but they get in before I even wake up. Ideas?

My theory has always been that parents who are home for the summer with the kids also start working again.

Are there really that many jobs that allow you to stay home for the summer? If anything, I\’d think there would be less jobs available as a small portion of the economy is now in school.

cd\’s is right…it is supposedly parents that are back on the roads after being home with kids during summer. I dont know what kind of jobs these people have though.

I don\’t think they\’re professionals in the sense we tend to think. I\’m sure there some that have \”real\” jobs but those that do go back to work are probably temps and whatnot.
I also think stay at home parents, who were home all day with the kins, are also out running errands while the kiddies are at school.
