This rant has been a long time coming because I always forget about it by the time I arrive at my destination, but not today!

Why do all hybrid owners feel it is necessaary to drive slower than the speed limit? Do the vehicles come with a dash plaque stating so? Is that what they’re really paying the premium for? Lord knows it isn’t for gas savings, as a turbo diesel is far more drivable and gets as good or better gas mileage.

Not only that, but they also feel it is necessary to brake going down hills? I understand that braking creates energy for them to use in their uphill struggle, but I’d have to think coasting at 40mph down a hill has a net energy usage that is less than braking to 20mph and attempting to accelerate back up.

People need to learn to f’ing drive.
