Sayonara!

I’m out of here! Off to the ther side of the world for a two week vacation. Twelve hours from now I’ll be heading to the airport, where I’ll board a flight to San Fran, and then finally on to Nagoya with my roommate, Gerald. If you need to know where I am, here is our rough itinerary:

Oct 4: In the air… Dulles, San Fran, Pacific Ocean
Oct 5: Still in the freaking air… Pacific Ocean, Nagoya, train ride to Kyoto
Oct 6: Travel to Mount Koya, sleep with Buddhist Monks (without Gerald)
Oct 7: Travel to Suzuka, watch F1 practice and qualifying, sleep in Osaka
Oct 8: Travel to Suzuka, watch F1 racing, sleep in Osaka
Oct 9: Travel to Kyoto
Oct 10: Kyoto, travel to Tokyo late
Oct 11: Travel to Motegi, view Honda Museum and Twin Ring race track, travel back to Tokyo
Oct 12: Tokyo
Oct 13: Tokyo, travel to Fukuoka
Oct 14: Travel to Autopolis for SuperGT practice, sleep in Fukuoka
Oct 15: Travel to Autopolis for SuperGT racing, travel to Hiroshima
Oct 16: Hiroshima/Miyajima
Oct 17: Travel to Nagoya, travel to San Fran, travel home!

All is going well in the land of the rising sun. I`ve been keeping a log of my journey so I`ll have a day by day write-up by the time I get back. I`ve somehow taken 600 pictures already… hrmph. Trip is halfway over [crook] but it will be nice to get back to a world in which I actually (well, kinda) fit in.

Oh yeah, I`ve often wondered why Asians never use apostrophes when they type? Because they don`t freaking have them on these silly keyboards! And yes, the keyboards are silly. the backspace key is the size of a letter and the spacebar is only the size of two. Argh! And the doorways are only like 5 feet tall! And the counters only come up to like my knees! And the slippers are made for half my foot! And my feet don`t fit on their steps. Argh!
