The quick review? Go elsewhere.<br/><br/>The long? No information that you couldn’t see on the Discovery Channel, a floor plan that made little to no sense and had very little direction, an overload of information, and a $16 entry fee? No thanks. If they could figure out a way to guide people better and have more interactive portions (everything felt cramped w/ people), I may have changed my mind.<br/><br/>[b]3.6/10[/b] – I’m a huge Bond fan, but this was a big let down

I was there Sunday and interesting enough I came to the exact same conclusions.

No joke? What time? We got there around 3:20pm.

From about noon ’til about 2. We were just looking to kill time before heading to the car show and our hotel (we went to the Caps game Sat night) was a block from there.
I commented to the wife that the Star Trek exhibit at the Air & Space Museum like 10 years ago was MUCH more interesting.

If Assburn is so close to DC, why did you feel the need to get a hotel room? Seems pretty silly to me [tongue]

Guess you’ve never had a “date night” where you decided to stay in a hotel? We do it a few times a years and usually involves dinner and a show.
You could learn something from your elders!

Nope, I think a \”date night\” that involves a hotel room that is close to home is incredibly stupid. I\’d much rather spend that money on the actual night and take a cab (if I have to) back home for $15. Wake up in my own bed, get on with my day.

You also think choosing to do something with mechinical help is lazier than doing nothing so we’re just gonna have to agree to disagree.

Also, “waking up in my own bed” meant turning around and going back downtown.
Instead we slept in, had breakfast in the hotel, went to the Spy Museum a block away, went to the Auto Show for a few hours and then to a show at the Verizon Center.
I won’t even go into the time we stayed in Tysons. [tongue]

I don\’t consider a hotel to be part of an experience, and if it is, you paid too much. Just the reason I prefer backpacking and hostels when in foreign countries.

I would have to agree that the hotel could be part of the experience…otherwise there would be no market for designer and boutique hotels. Sorry, Mike.

It has been discussed previously and agreed upon. I just reverified.

It’s not that I won’t stay at a hostel (private rooms only please…those dorm rooms are horrible), it’s that I also see the value in a night at a really nice hotel once in a while.

No chance, they’re overpriced.

If far from home, I can see spending a good amount for a good evening. If you live 45 minutes away? It\’s just not the same.
