Those three words summarize the highlight of my weekend. I woke up around 8:30 to Caitlin telling me to look out the window. I do, and notice a large black Cadillac sitting on the side of the road. I rub my eyes and look closer to find it is sitting awfully low. Maybe due to the two wheels that are lying on their sides on the pavement? I’m now interested. A cop pulls up a few minutes later, asks if I had called this in. I tell him no, I look around a bit more, and realize it’s pretty damn cold so I offer him a drink and head inside. I sit around, and sit around… In the meantime, two other officers have arrived and one has dusted the car; CSI: Arlington! and then they’re gone. The original officer, a guy around my age is stuck sitting in his car for probably two hours waiting on the tow truck… He ended up calling his girlfriend to sit with him… Cute! The tow truck drivers come, they laugh, we head back outside, and look at the whole scene a bit more; CSI: 4160! In the car’s state, there was no way it could have driven to where it was; the front suspension was sheared off and the rear hub was split in two. Additionally, it had a severed brake line, but there was no fluid on the ground… Hrmmm. So the car was dropped there. A thief wouldn’t wreck a car in to a barrier and then have it towed somewhere, would they? So my guess is the original owner was drunk, crashed, and paid a tow truck driver to leave it there. In their drunken stupor they didn’t think about the finer details, but they did think to break out one of the front windows while it sat in front of my house and leave only their valet key! Sigh… that person is so screwed.

The rest of the weekend…

Friday, BJ and I decided to get drunk, and that’s what we did. He ended up downing over a dozen beers and I handled a half a bottle of Capt. Morgan’s Private Stock. We called people we shouldn’t have called, left instant messages, and were loud… Real mature stuff, but it was a blast. I ended up going to bed around 6am.

Saturday, we cleaned the garage and it looks awesome. Two cars, motorcycle, and all our other crap fit with ease. I need to put some hooks in the ceiling for bikes, though.

Sunday, I watched a bunch of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, which I had written off as crap a few years back, but have grown to enjoy. I cleaned the fridge, which now has a ton of room thanks to some reorganization of the shelves, watched Cool Runnings, which I had been dying to see recently, and seriously chowed down on some psata that BJ made.

It was a weird weekend… I didn’t venture far from the house, but I ended up getting a lot done even though it didn’t feel like it.
