I loved the original Fuzion Frenzy for XBOX so I had high hopes for the new HD version! Well, those hopes quickly crumbled to dust after popping the game in. Sometimes, less is better and this is one of those times.

In an effort to take advantage of the XBOX 360’s grunt, the developers spent too much time on making things looking pretty, 3D’ing crap, neat effects, and too little on what actually makes this genre a good one… The quality of the mini-games! They suck! I liked every single one in the original, but this version only has a handful worth my time.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, in making things 3D, they threw off the depth perspective in so many games; rendering them unplayable. AND TO TOP THAT OFF, they added in a horrendously repetitive announcer (in one play I heard him say “I haven’t ever seen anything that wild” a dozen times), and ruined the overlying gameplay of scoring points and wagering.

After a single entry in my disc drive, this sucker was tossed on eBay. Luckily, I held on to my original Fuzion Frenzy; it has seen it’s life extended.
