Savings or no savings, a house (that fits my tastes) in this area (a nicer suburb of NOVA) is not affordable on a single income. Don’t bother arguing, I can show you plenty of data that says you’re wrong. -
A house might not be affordable on a single income, but eventually, you might find someone that wants to share their income with you. In which case, your savings might contribute greatly to a down payment on the house you can’t currently afford on your own.
