I totally didn’t get a chance to write up my experience down at VIR in February. Anyway, to sum it up, it was a three day event run by NASA-MA. Friday was the instructor’s clinic, which I passed with flying colors. Despite some car set up issues (hadn’t been on track in nearly a year) and having never done the full course, things went pretty well. I passed on the chance to instruct on Saturday and Sunday based on my lack of knowledge of the track. Saturday was still a bit of getting acclimated with the track, and getting rolled really hard by some high horsepower cars. On Sunday, the rain came in. Despite having slicks on the car, I still rolled just about everybody except for a Viper. I love rain  On the way home, the snow started coming down the with vengeance. Equipped with all-season tires and a lot of weight in the rear, the Civic plowed onward and got home in one piece. All in all, it turned out to be a very good weekend to get back in the swing of things. NASA’s instructor school turned out to be a great learning experience.
