Comcast
A year ago, our signal went out right as the final fight of a PPV UFC segment came on. BJ called, they said we could watch it again the next day for free via On Demand. BJ does that, and sure enough that extra $40 shows up on the bill. Twice I call, the person on the phone says they are not authorized to do what I’m asking and I’ll have to call back. Fed up, I let it sit on the back burner until a few weeks ago when I cancel my account. At this point, the f’r on the phone says “I can’t look back in to your account that far.” Expected, Comcast sucks.
As I mentioned a bit ago, we switched to Verizon. This install went pretty well, but I spent a lot of time on the phone trying to get our house-wide DVR working… It still doesn’t. Anyway, the day we switched to Verizon, I cancelled Comcast. The following day, my auto-charge goes through on my bill. Just yesterday, I received ANOTHER bill. I try to log in to their site to disassociate my card from the account, but it tells me the account is no longer active! Grand! They have my credit card, they are still billing me, and I have no way to end it without spending likely an hour on the phone today. They now owe me the last bill, the new bill, and the two days retroactive. GOD COMCAST SUCKS!
Auto parts
I ordered some new ball-joints for the front of the Civic, left them in the box from Honda, dropped them and my knuckles off at the machine shop, and returned the next day to find they pressed them in EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE DAMAGED. So now I’m stuck with parts I likely can’t return, and I had to pay for labor. Luckily they’re good guys, and when I returned with fresh ball-joints the next morning, they didn’t charge me for labor.
Bike parts
After having my mountain bike sit for over a year with a broken crank, I ponied up and brought it to the shop. It was great that they had the parts I needed, it was a display case model so it was cheaper, and they could do the labor as I waited, but they failed to charge me the display case price! Now I have to go back for my money… Gah!
Commuters
Everybody had their freaking heads up their asses this morning! And I hit every possible light! A stretch, Route 7, that usually take me 10 minutes instead took about 18. Damnit!
Things must improve soon…
