Why the Redskins fired him? I still don’t know. Why the Chargers fired him after a 14-2 season? I know, but I’m sure they’re regretting it. The guy is a hard-ass and he doesn’t get along with many people, but he freaking gets results.

This blog might seem random, but I’ve always been disappointed by the fact that we got rid of him. Now that the Chargers have started the season following a 14-2 record last year at 1-2, I have to think that the guy made a difference.

Oddly, when he came to DC, he was replacing Norn Turner. In San Diego, Norv Turner replaced him. I don’t have any statistics saying Marty is infinitely better based on those two transitions, but based on my knowledge of the two coaches and their results, San Diego is in a world of hurt.
