Went to turn mine on this morning for a quick Madden romp before work and staring back at me is the Red Ring of Death; the 2nd failure I’ve had. The last one was a “Cannot read disc error,” which is apparently pretty uncommon… This one? Probably happens to most at least once and represents a general hardware failure. Yipee!

The timing of this one is just great. Halo 3 has just been released, I’m struggling to play four games at once before the big holiday push of half a dozen titles that I plan on buying, and now I’m without a system. In a month, when I get my replacement, the fad of Halo 3 will have worn off, I’ll be lucky to find even a single friend online to play with… and that just sucks.

I suppose I’ll have plenty of time to finish the detailing I’m doing of the Civic (it’s going to be more clean than the day I bought it, 5 years ago) and hopefully I’ll get around to the 2ft high stack of magazines I’ve accumulated… Not that that’s what I really want to be doing…. GRR!

Way to go Microsoft, you fail.
