Having accomplished my last running goal, a good half-marathon, I’ve found myself without any reason to train. Without any reason to train, I have not been training aside from my run/bike commute now and again. After being nasty sick for a week and a half, I feel it’s time to get my act together… enter the Turkey Trot.<br/><br/>On November 22nd, assuming the weather doesn’t suck, I am shooting for my sub-20 5k. Where? Caitlin wants to run Virginia Run, but she’s not training with me so she may not be running anyway, and Dnorm wants me to go to his Dad’s church for one… Fat chance there…<br/><br/>I have found a six week training plan, modified the 6th week, added a 7th week, and have a good deal of work ahead of me. Most plans start with a rest day, which I love, because it means you can choose any day that you don’t feel like doing squat to begin… I chose yesterday. <a href=”http://www.iammike.org/index.php?loc=5k” target=”_self”>Check it!</a><br/><br/>Be sure to keep up with my training log!
