The <a href=”http://www.nfl.com/superbowl” target=”_blank”>Super Bowl</a> is over, hurray for New York. Yes, I was rooting for the Pats for a number of reasons:<br/><br/>1. <a href=”http://www.dailyramblings.com/ramblings/528.php” target=”_self”>Eli Manning is a bitch</a>. If that’s not enough for you, HIS NAME IS ELI!<br/>2. Giants fans are obnoxious.<br/>3. I’ve always had a thing for the Pats since they were the worst of the worst. Like… the days of <a href=”http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonard_Russell” target=”_blank”>Leonard Russell</a>.<br/>4. The <a href=”http://www.72dolphins.com/” target=”_self”>1972 Dolphins</a> <a href=”http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/2007/11/06/2007-11-06_don_shula_spygate_would_mar_pats_undefea.html” target=”_blank”>have been</a> <a href=”http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/03/sports/football/03dolphins.html?ex=1359781200&amp;en=a93f3411282a373f&amp;ei=5088&amp;partner=rssnyt&amp;emc=rss” target=”_blank”>giant pricks</a> <a href=”http://www.thermocaster.com/2008/02/04/1972-dolphins-sorest-winners-on-earth/” target=”_blank”>all season long</a> (click the last one, it’s my favorite). Hey old farts, the Pats went 18-0. That’s one more than you even if they didn’t win “The Big Game.”<br/><br/>The game itself was a bit of a bore until the 4th quarter. Back and forth, back and forth, a real defensive battle. Miraculously, thanks to a couple lame-duck passes from our little friend, Eli, the Giants pulled out the win. For that, and for DOING HIS EFFING JOB, Eli gets the MVP award.<br/><br/>I don’t know about you, but <a href=”http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Justin_Tuck” target=”_blank”>Justin Tuck</a> had a hell of a game. He was my MVP. Why didn’t he win? Because of all the banter over how much Eli sucks. He didn’t suck this game, but at the same time he didn’t particularly play well; he played average. That’s his job… 19-34 for 255 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT… (plus a handful of flailing passes, a fumble, and a bad handoff)… That’s not MVP material. <br/><br/>All I can glean from this is he actually won because he didn’t suck. He didn’t fall apart like he usually does. That makes sense. Eli, I hate you. You are not a good football player, you are average. You have not matched your brother in any sense; you’re not a leader, you’re a bitch.<br/><br/>If one more person says “<a href=”http://johnacole.blogspot.com/2008/01/eli-manning-coming-of-age.html” target=”_blank”>Eli has come of age</a>,” “<a href=”http://www.nflplayers.com/news/news_release.aspx?id=7849″ target=”_blank”>he’s come into his own</a>,” “he’s crossed the bridge,” or any other lame-assed rite of passage like those, they’re dead to me.<br/><br/>Look!
