… to note that in the third paragraph of this article, the Skins have already been touted a playoff team. We all know the drill; they’re the best team in the league during the postseason, but they’ve only actually been to the promised land un three of the past fifteen seasons. Some day it’ll get old, but for many Skins fans, the talk is more important than the walk… Not to this one.

As far as the trade goes, I think it will turn out to be a good one. While draft picks are tough to give up, going a season without a solid DE is pretty tough as well. Taylor is a proven force (and due to him being so physical, he’s not one of those guys who was only good depending on the scheme he played in), he can dance, he’s a good guy, and we’ll hopefully get 3-4 solid seasons out of him.

Update: Seriously, think about it. What makes this team any better than last year? A still unproven QB? Everybody is a year older? Sean Taylor is gone? A NEW FREAKING COACH!? I’ll stick with my tried and true prediction of 9-7. Until Snyder is out of there, I don’t see the glory days returning.
