Yep, that’s the Washington Redskins. Another year, more great hopes (after a 6-2 start… not before the season… most expected them to be a ~.500 team), and fans in excruciating pain.

For the first time in years, I actually did not watch the game the whole way through. They are that disappointing. Over the past 6 games they are averaging less than 11 points. Do you know that kind of pain? Unless you’re a fan of the Lions, Raiders, Browns, or Bengals, you don’t. Those are the teams who have fewer points than the Skins this year. Those teams, on average, have two wins apiece. That is how well the Skins have been playing… Like a two win team. In fact, that score total takes in to account when they were playing halfway decently. Over the past 6, they’ve been the absolute worst team in the league.

As I said, another year goes by, and it’s the same old thing. New coach, new players, things seem to click, we’re given hope, but in the end we end up resorting to screen plays, runs up the middle, and floundering. Talk is of Zorn being gone already next year? Great… Campbell (who we need to begin questioning as a viable starter) really needs a new coach again… I think he’s been through six in the past five years or something? Talk about not being given a fair shake.

I heard a sportscaster saying things have a way of working themselves balanced in regards to the unexpected 6-2 start and now the Skins being where they should be recordwise, but that’s complete BS. They were 6-2. That doesn’t make their remaining schedule harder. They had a pretty balanced schedule… They should have won half their remaining games… They should have ended up 10-6 if things worked themselves the way they should have. It’s not just working out the balance… It’s them playing worse than a high school football team.

I need a new team or sport… I’m going gray way too early.
