How about a regular type of posting? You know, some random topic that warrants discussion… It’s been a while since we had one of those.

Eli Manning secures the third highest salary in the NFL. He’s now only behind Carson Palmer, who deserves such a salary based on previous years, and Julius Peppers, who is a disgustingly good player.

Eli has never struck me as that good a quarterback. You know who else doesn’t strike me as that good a quarterback? My very own, Jason Campbell. Maybe I’m off my rocker, and sure, Eli has a ring, but let’s take a look at the numbers:

Eli Manning’s Stats – Blah blah blah, a bunch of seasons w/ a rating in the mid-70s, which stinks of mediocrity, and one in the mid-80s, which stinks of “you’re ok.”

Jason Campbell’s Stats – Blah blah blah, a mediocre season and a half with a rating in the mid-70s rating, which stinks of mediocrity, and one in the mid-80s, which stinks of “you’re ok.”

DOES NOT COMPUTE. THIRD HIGHEST NFL SALARY. Even Dan Snyder isn’t that stupid.

I’m happy to know I’m not off my rocker.
