I don’t plan on updating this twice per day, but I’m already two games behind so I must catch up. The hope is to play a game per night and blog about it the next day.

So the Giants. Reigning Super Bowl champs, eh? Having only played three full games, I expected this to be quite a challenge.

Play #1 pretty much sets the stage. Eli throws a pickle to Rocky McIntosh who returns it to the 1, where Clinton Portis pops it in. From there on, Madden kept telling to blitz, so I did. Knowing Eli, his head wasn’t in it and we were able to ruin his day. I hurried him just about every play and sacked him four times. The pressure led him to a 29.4 rating thanks to a 14-31 for 123 yard performance with two pickles. I also shutdown their running game; Brandon Jacobs ran 11 times for 27 yards. Suffice to say, my defense absolutely dominated.

On the other side of the ball, things went pretty well too, which I think I can attribute to always having good field position and having the Giants on their heels. Jason Campbell went 16-25 for 175, two TDs, one INT, and a 94.5 rating. I’ll take it! Portis had a great game, dipping into the end-zone twice on 34 runs for 162 yards. I thought of subbing him at the end of the third, but he was heating up and I wanted to blow up his stats. He also caught a TD and went on to win NFL Offensive Player of the Week.

Final was 31-0. At this point I worried I needed to already bump up the difficulty level…

Redskins 1-0.

Stay tuned…
