Running.

Not only did I have an amazing run through the woods two weekends ago, but I haven’t even been thinking about or feeling any hamstring pain since. I firmly believe that means harder runs are doing more good than bad. Scar tissue… Gotta break it up.

Next month begins marathon training program coaching (that’s a mouthful) again, which i participated in last year. It’s a run-along program, which I obviously couldn’t partake in last year, but this time around, that’s the hope. The first “long” run is six miles a month from now. I’m already capable of doing that, but its the base mileage I need to get in. A few weeks of 20ish miles (a pretty safe starting point given my current shape) should do the trick.

Obviously, I’m going to listen to my body VERY closely and not hesitate to back off or quit altogether if that’s what it says needs to happen; fool me once and I’ll learn from it. Fool me twice and I’m a big freakin’ idiot.

So… Running is back as cycling peters out due to the temperatures (20mph wind gets cold).

I’m excited!
