30.

I felt I became an adult last month, but this makes it official… Definitely old.

30 years ago today in Frankford Hospital, out popped little me. Mom says it was quick and relatively painless. I think I’ve maintained those characteristics after all these years…

Nothing special to note. I enter a new age-group for age-group scoring in races, but I’m still in the “Open” category for larger ones, meaning I don’t have any excuse for slowing down yet (that happens at 34). My body has been especially achey the past few weeks, but I’m hoping it’s coincidental and will pass.

At this point in their lives, my parents had a 5 and 3 year old. In fact, it’d be the same year that we moved to Virginia. I suppose I’m a few years behind, but I’m certainly not sweating it.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes and special thanks to the coworkers for drinking with me all day and taking me to lunch.
