Still have the goober under my nose, but it gets a bit smaller with each day. I had a bit of pain early in the week, but I think it was an ingrown hair or something because a little trimming of the ‘stache cleared it right up.
The glue came off my leg, which was pretty cool. Since it had filled the wound like a mould or cast, I got to see the depth and shape of the hole… About a centimeter deep. I don’t know how that’s possible consider the amount of flesh on my shin, but it’s nice to have that stuff off. I’m pretty unimpressed with how it worked – there was still a pretty gaping wound that filled itself in the two days since.
Monday, as mentioned in last week’s post, was a big day. I got the lenses in my glasses replaced and had my teeth rebuilt. The dental process took about an hour, a few needles (they were the best ever because I told them how much I hated those damned anesthesia ones), and things look pretty good. I have a cleaning scheduled for this week and I may have him do some touch-up because one of the teeth doesn’t match the other side and it’s pretty noticeable to me. There are also a couple of rough spots, but small enough that they should smooth with eating. They’ll apparently last 2-10 years. Sounds like a lot of luck and smart eating is involved, but I’m gonna be relying mostly on luck because I dig me some apples and crusty bread. If these come out too quickly, there are some more permanent options to consider.
I heard from the fellow I had the accident with last night. Definitely helps put this behind me.
