I kept milestone notes over these past three months and the ones early on are… just… so minute compared to where she is at the end of the period. At the beginning she was barely starting to say her name, which now she can combine with up to 3 other words including the possessive form. She was also barely getting out “Bye-bye,” whereas now she’s beginning to nail “Bye, see ya soon!” She had begun going down tiny slides on her own, but now I send her down 30ft ones (there’s a video of a crash on this that I’ll not share, but she made it down 2/3 of the time perfectly well!). Little humans grow so incredibly fast.

We made a bunch of trips to the zoo, hiked, ran, Mom went away for two weekends for the first time, Dad went away for a work week for the first time, we did some apple picking with friends, visited the science museum, almost every weekend made it out to bike races to play in puddles and mud, enjoyed a bumper crop of cherry tomatoes (often consumed unripened because she hasn’t developed patience), she began “riding” her own bike (Strider) around the block a bit, received her first perfect report card, and dressed up as a sloth for Halloween (thanks, #1 hand-me-down family!).

We have been battling constant colds and subsequent ear infections since her first birthday, but we’ve finally been cleared for an ENT visit and to hopefully get her ear tubes. Kid is a trooper.

Every day she is the most fun she’s ever been. Recently she’s been preparing to be a big sister…
